Testimonials
Impact of the Restoration Fellowship program:
“When I feel like I am an imposter I am now able to identify the underlying causes and attempt to deal with the situation in healthier ways.” - Rev. Cassie Sexton-Riggs
I had several “ah-ha” moments during the sessions with Kinsie, where I learned something about myself, why I think the way I do and why I react to people the way I do. It truly helped me realize that I have choices in how I think and/or react instead of my normal way, which was based on my past.” - Rev. Robin McGonigal
“When congregants are coming to me with big tasks I am better able to delegate and stay committed to my main ministry priorities rather than feeling I need to take on what they want to preserve relationships or prove myself.” - Rev. Sonja Ingebritsen
“I so appreciated Kinsie's heart, compassion, and skill in helping the group work through the material. Her method during the zoom meetings of walking individuals through the steps of the program material was instructive both to the individual who was sharing their situation and those who were "listening in." - Rev. Megan Thomas

Meet your Facilitator:
As ordained clergy, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and Coach, Rev. Kinsie M. Tate, LPCC, founded Restore Clergy to provide wellness options for clergy struggling with burnout.
Kinsie has almost 15 years of experience as a licensed counselor and served as clergy in a local church prior to becoming a therapist. She is the spouse of United Methodist Clergy and understands the unique challenges pastors and their families face.
Restore Clergy grew out of the struggle she witnessed pastors experiencing prior to and during the pandemic. She developed the curriculum to meet the needs of clergy, help them get to the root of stress, and overcome stubborn change problems that keep them stuck in overwhelm, isolation, and burnout.

Yes! The Restoration Fellowship has been approved for 2.6 CE’s or 26 CEU’s through Phillips Theological Seminary.
-
The cost of individual therapy, individual coaching, or leadership training can run well into the thousands over the course of a year.
It is often difficult to find a therapist or coach with availability that truly understands and has lived experience with what it is to serve in ministry.
The Restoration Fellowship encompasses all of these options. If you consider the cost to your health, wellbeing, relationships, and long term viability in ministry if you don’t address symptoms of burnout, and consider the freedom from anxiety and dread about your situation that comes from participating, the investment is well worth it.
-
That is not a problem! Many participants have expressed that they gain just as much personal insight when other participants are being coached as when they are being coached directly. You do not have to share in the group sessions to benefit from the program, but I feel confident that your level of comfort will grow and you will eventually feel comfortable enough to do share!
-
Restoration Fellowship is designed with busy pastors in mind! It is self paced and you will only need a couple hours a week. To review the materials and reflect on your experiences. Also- you will be spending LESS time on overthinking, procrastinating, habits that leave you exhausted, so you.may find that you feel you have more time!
-
If you find yourself dealing with anxiety, over thinking, procrastination, and conflict avoidance, among other negative stress coping habits, day in and day out, it may be time to address it. We also take into account the demands of the liturgical calendar and space out the zoom sessions to accommodate busy seasons in the church.

Listen to the testimonials of clergy who have already completed the Restoration Fellowship.
Individual results will vary, but participants reported building authentic relationships with clergy peers that understand the strain of ministry. They reported feeling freedom from feelings of loneliness, isolation, and anxiety.
They developed a new framework for managing stress, overcoming unhelpful beliefs that kept them feeling stuck, and are now able to identify and understand what to do when their nervous system is overwhelmed, giving the, choice in difficult situations instead of reacting based on past trauma.
They have more capacity to be proactive in taking care of their health and wellness instead of reactive.
If you engage in the process and do the work, you will grow and find relief.
